Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026 · version 2026-09
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Membership Terms and Best Rate Guarantee (collectively, the “Terms”), govern your access to and use of the services we offer through app.littlebluedoor.co, any Little Blue Door mobile or web application we may offer (together, the “Site”), and through direct messaging and other communications such as WhatsApp, email and telephone (together, the “Services”).
The Services are provided by L Blue Door Limited, a private limited company incorporated in England & Wales under company number 15504914 (“Little Blue Door”, “we”, “our” or “us”). We act only as agent in respect of all hotel bookings we take or make on your behalf. In these Terms, “you” includes the first-named person on a booking and every person on whose behalf a booking is made or to whom a booking is added.
By creating an account, joining as a member or making a booking you accept these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Services. In the event of conflict between these Terms and the terms of any third party connected with the Services, these Terms prevail, except as set out in clause 10 in relation to Little Emperors.
Definitions
“Benefits” means the benefits made available to Members by Suppliers (for example breakfast, hotel credit or upgrades). “Member” means the person in whose name a Membership is registered. “Membership” means a paid or complimentary Little Blue Door membership. “Membership Fee” means the monthly or annual subscription fee for Membership. “Payment Card” means the debit or credit card you provide to our payment provider for Membership Fees, or to a Supplier (through the secure booking widget) to guarantee a hotel booking. “Request” means a request placed by a Member with us. “Supplier” means any hotel or other third party that provides goods, services or Benefits to a Member through the Services.
1. Membership rules
Membership is available to persons aged 18 or over. You must provide accurate details when you create an account and keep them up to date; failure to do so may invalidate your Membership. We may refuse, suspend or close a Membership at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive use, or unjustified chargebacks.
Membership is personal to you and may not be assigned, shared, sub-licensed or transferred without our prior written consent. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account, and must tell us immediately at info@littlebluedoor.io if you believe your account has been accessed without authority. We are not liable for any unauthorised use of your account.
Anyone may browse the Site. Member rates, Benefits and the ability to book are available only to Members who are signed in.
2. Membership fees, renewals and cancellation
Membership is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually, at the price shown at the point of joining. Fees are collected by our payment provider, Stripe; your card details are entered on Stripe’s secure pages and never touch our systems. Your Membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, during which you keep full member access, and you will not be charged again.
Immediate start and refunds. By joining you ask us to make your Membership available immediately. If you cancel within 14 days of first joining, we will refund the part of that billing period you have not used. After that, Membership Fees are non-refundable, except where we agree otherwise at our discretion or where a refund is required by law. If a payment fails, we and our payment provider will retry it; if it cannot be collected, member rates and booking are suspended until your payment details are updated. Bookings already confirmed are unaffected.
Complimentary and trial Memberships. We may grant complimentary Membership for a fixed period; it has no cash value, may be withdrawn at any time, and ends at the stated date without charge unless you choose to subscribe. Where we offer a free or discounted trial that requires a Payment Card, your Membership converts to a paid subscription at the then-current fee at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends; we will remind you before the first charge. Promotional codes are non-transferable, have no cash value and may be withdrawn or limited at any time.
We may change Membership Fees or introduce booking, service or handling fees, but any change will be notified to you in advance and a new Membership Fee applies only from your next renewal. Full details are in our Membership Terms.
3. Membership Benefits
As a Member you may be entitled to Benefits as described on the Site. Benefits are those that Suppliers have committed to provide and the obligation to honour them lies entirely with the Supplier; they are subject to availability and may change without notice. If a Benefit is not provided, we will help you raise it with the Supplier, but we are not liable for a Supplier’s failure to provide it. Benefits are for the Member and their travelling party only.
4. Using your Membership and making bookings
We act solely as your agent when you book. When you make a booking through the Services you enter into a contract with the hotel or other Supplier, whose terms and conditions (including its cancellation, deposit and no-show policies) apply to your booking. We display those terms at the time of booking and in your confirmation; please read them carefully. Should the Supplier’s terms conflict with these Terms, these Terms prevail insofar as Little Blue Door, its directors, officers, agents and employees are concerned.
Every booking must include the Member as a guest. If the Member is not present at check-in, the hotel may decline the member rate and charge its standard rate. Where you name other guests, or add saved travellers (including children and their ages), you confirm you have their permission to share their details with us and the Supplier and that the details are accurate; hotels may charge additional amounts where occupancy or ages differ from those booked.
You are responsible for checking that all booking details are correct before you confirm, for any charges the hotel makes for no-shows, early departure, incidentals or damage, and for the conduct of everyone in your party. Payment for your stay is made to the hotel under the terms of the rate you booked; some rates require a deposit or full payment at the time of booking.
Before booking, please check the travel advice issued by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office at gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice. That advice changes from time to time and you should stay up to date until you depart.
5. Booking conditions
5.1 Your agreement. By making a booking, the first-named person agrees on behalf of everyone on the booking that they have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them; consent to our use of personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and are authorised to disclose the details of everyone on the booking (including, where relevant, dietary or health information you choose to give us); are over 18; and accept financial responsibility for the booking. You will use the Services lawfully, will not make false or fraudulent bookings, will not use automated tools to access, monitor or copy content or rates, and will not circumvent our security or impose an unreasonable load on our systems.
5.2 Paying for your booking. To secure a booking the hotel requires your Payment Card details. These are entered into the secure booking widget provided by our booking partner, Little Emperors, and are transmitted to the hotel to guarantee your reservation. Little Blue Door never receives or stores your card details. The hotel may use your card to take a deposit as specified at the time of booking, or to charge you in accordance with its policy for a no-show, cancellation or amendment. Deposits and any charges taken under the hotel’s policy are non-refundable except as that policy provides.
5.3 Confirmations. Your booking is confirmed, and your contract with the hotel formed, when a confirmation number is issued and shown to you and sent by email. Nothing said or written in WhatsApp, email or telephone conversations with us constitutes a booking until a confirmation number has been issued. Please check your confirmation immediately and tell us of any error. Names must match those on the guests’ passports. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, contact us.
5.4 Information, accuracy and pricing. Descriptions, photographs, Benefits and rates are supplied by the hotel and our booking partner and are intended to give a general idea of the arrangements; they are subject to availability and may change. Nightly rates shown in the calendar, “from” prices, converted currency totals, map positions and airport distances are indicative only and are not offers; the price that binds you is the price shown when you confirm your booking. If a rate is displayed or confirmed at a price that is obviously wrong (for example because of a data or systems error) we may cancel the booking and refund any amount paid rather than honour the incorrect price, and we will tell you as soon as we become aware.
5.5 Currency. Hotels charge in their local currency. Where we show prices in another currency, the conversion is a guide based on exchange-rate data and is accurate only as a guideline at the time shown. The amount actually charged to your card may differ because of exchange-rate movements and any fees charged by your bank or card issuer, for which we are not liable.
5.6 Special requests. If you have special requests (for example dietary requirements, cots, bed configuration or room location) you may tell us at the time of booking. Our booking partner’s systems do not transmit these to the hotel automatically; our team will pass them on. The fact that a request has been passed on or appears in your confirmation is not confirmation that it will be met, and we have no liability if it is not.
5.7 Travel insurance. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance that covers your personal circumstances, including cancellation charges, medical expenses and repatriation. Neither we nor the Supplier will be liable for losses for which insurance would otherwise have been available.
5.8 Amendments and cancellations by you. Where a rate permits cancellation, you can cancel from your account page up to the deadline shown; otherwise cancellation and amendment requests must be made to us in writing at info@littlebluedoor.io by the first-named person on the booking. Changes to dates, rooms or guests can only be made by our team through the hotel and are subject to the hotel’s agreement and its terms. Once confirmed, you are bound by the hotel’s cancellation policy; cancellations after the deadline, non-refundable rates and no-shows may be charged up to 100% of the stay. We do not charge administration fees for amendments or cancellations. Any refund due is made by the hotel under its policy, to the original payment method.
5.9 Amendments and cancellations by the Supplier. If a hotel makes a significant change to your booking or cancels it, we will tell you as soon as we can and help you choose between the alternatives or refund the hotel offers, but we accept no further liability for changes or cancellations made by a Supplier under your contract with it. Where a hotel or our booking partner changes or cancels a booking, the updated details will be reflected in your account.
5.10 Our responsibility for your booking. Your contract is with the hotel and its terms apply. As your booking agent, our responsibility is limited to processing your booking in accordance with your instructions and the information provided to us. We are not responsible for the services the hotel provides or for information passed on in good faith. If we are found liable in connection with a booking, our maximum liability is limited to twice the commission we earn on that booking (or the appropriate proportion where not everyone on the booking is affected). We do not limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
5.11 Complaints. Because your contract is with the hotel, any problem during your stay must be raised with the hotel at the time so it can be put right; failing to do so may affect any claim. If you remain dissatisfied, contact us at info@littlebluedoor.io and we will take it up with the hotel on your behalf as a goodwill service, without accepting liability for the outcome. We are not a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme.
5.12 Passports, visas and health. It is your responsibility to check and comply with the passport, visa, immigration and health requirements of your destination and any country you transit, which can change between booking and departure. Neither we nor the Supplier accept responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied, and you must reimburse us or the Supplier for any fines or losses that result.
5.13 No packages. We arrange hotel accommodation only. We do not sell flights, or flight-inclusive or other package holidays, and no ATOL or package-travel financial protection applies to bookings made through the Services.
6. Unauthorised use of the Services
You must not use the Services in any way that breaks the law; infringes anyone’s rights; promotes hatred, harm or unlawful activity; or extracts, scrapes or republishes rates, availability or content for commercial purposes. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is impregnable; tell us promptly at info@littlebluedoor.io of any suspected unauthorised access to your account and cooperate with us in dealing with it.
7. Placing a Request
Members may place Requests through the Site or by contacting us by WhatsApp, email or telephone. You confirm that all details you provide are correct, that any Payment Card you use is your own or you are authorised to use it, and that sufficient funds are available. If a Request incurs a fee we will tell you before proceeding and you authorise us to charge it.
8. Best Rate Guarantee
Our Best Rate Guarantee is a goodwill remedy offered by Little Blue Door to Members on the terms set out at littlebluedoor.co/legal/best-rate-guarantee, including the eligibility conditions, exclusions and the cap on the amount we will pay. Neither the hotel nor our booking partner has any obligation under it, and our liability under the guarantee is limited to the remedy stated there.
9. Liability
We will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. We act solely as your agent when sourcing goods or services from Suppliers; your contract is with the Supplier and, unless expressly stated otherwise, your rights and remedies are against the Supplier. Suppliers are responsible for the accuracy of the rates, availability, descriptions, policies and other information they provide, which we display in good faith without verifying; we do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current.
We are not liable for: any act or omission of a Supplier; interruptions to or unavailability of the Site or the booking functionality; loss arising from instructions or information you give us that are incomplete, incorrect or late; delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including travel restrictions, epidemic, natural events, industrial action, or failure of a Supplier’s or partner’s systems); or any loss of profit, revenue, savings or goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in connection with your Membership (as distinct from any booking, which is covered by clause 5.10) is limited to the Membership Fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to indemnify us against liabilities, costs and losses (including reasonable legal costs) we incur as a result of your breach of these Terms, your breach of applicable law, or claims made by hotels or other third parties arising from the conduct of you or your party.
10. Little Emperors Integration
This website/platform integrates certain hotel booking functionality via a proprietary API provided by Little Emperors Limited (“Little Emperors”), a company incorporated in England and Wales. This integration does not constitute a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between us and Little Emperors Limited, and no such relationship should be inferred or implied.
10.1 Data sharing. Where you make a booking through the Little Emperors integration on this platform, certain personal data (including your name, contact details and booking information) will be shared with and processed by Little Emperors Limited for the purpose of fulfilling your booking. This processing is carried out in accordance with Little Emperors’ privacy policy, available at littleemperors.com/privacy-policy, as well as our own Privacy Policy.
10.2 Booking terms. Bookings made via the Little Emperors integration are subject to Little Emperors Limited’s own booking terms and conditions, available at littleemperors.com/terms-and-conditions, in addition to our own terms and conditions set out above. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Little Emperors’ booking terms as they relate specifically to the booking itself, Little Emperors’ terms shall apply.
10.3 Availability and liability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Little Emperors booking functionality and are not responsible for any downtime, errors or interruptions arising from the underlying API or Little Emperors’ systems.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may vary these Terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes by email to the address on your account or by notice on the Site. The version in force for a booking is the one published at the time of that booking. Your continued use of your Membership after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changed Terms.
12. Intellectual property
The Site, the Services and all content, design, logos, code and software are owned by or licensed to Little Blue Door and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. The Services are for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, create derivative works from, or sell any content or rates obtained from the Site, and nothing in these Terms gives you a right to use the Little Blue Door name, logo or branding.
13. Links
The Site may link to third-party websites, including hotel websites, map providers and travel-advice resources. We are not responsible for their content or accuracy and a link does not imply endorsement.
14. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues in full effect. These Terms, together with the documents referred to in them, are the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Services. No failure or delay by us in exercising a right is a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor of our business on notice to you.
15. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms and your Membership are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you may bring proceedings in your local court under Scottish or Northern Irish law, as applicable.
